Unhappy with his “spare tyre” Alec wanted to make changes but wasn’t really sure how to start. Weightlifting was daunting and he wasn’t sure what to do with his nutrition. He also wanted to feel stronger, fitter and healthier.
I’ve worked with Alec for a long time and I hope I continue to work with him for a long time. He is an important part of the SMF team. Always there to support and offer advice to the other members. He’s also very open about the struggles he’s had with changing his diet.
There have been setbacks, there have been ups and downs.
That’s part of the process though. Life doesn’t work in a straight line with everything staying amazing all the time.
Alec now lifts weights about 4x a week. He’s strong, active and fit as a fiddle. Diabetes meds have been reduced and he’s looking in fantastic shape.
We didn’t jump from where he was to where he is. We took our time, getting over the gym anxiety and teaching about nutrition, health and exercise. Putting the pieces of the puzzle together. Setting challenges, tweaking his eating. Having diet phases and diet breaks.
Changing your eating and exercise habits can seem daunting but we set you up to make that process easy, we have different stages we work through and we explain everything you will do so you understand the why and the how.
Well done to Alec 🙌
