I remember when I first spoke to Lauren what stuck out was that she was someone who had been active throughout her life but had lost her way a little bit. I could hear the determination to get back to that person and I really wanted to help her get there.
Lauren is an integral part of the online group, posting delicious meals and crazy long walks her and her partner Ritchie go on. He’s been a great support to her.

What made you decide to sign up for online personal training?
I have been unhappy with my body image/unhealthy habits for a while now and I needed to make the first move for this to change!
What are your goals?
– To hit 71-75kg and maintain it.
– Roughly know calories in foods I eat without relying on MyFitnessPal.
– Tackle a few Munro’s before the end of this year.
What struggles did you have before signing up?
– Lacking exercise
– No routine
– Portion control
– Lacking water
How has online personal training helped those struggles?
I didn’t actually realise how many calories were in certain foods, which meant that I was eating way over my set amount. Having a set calorie and protein goal has helped me with my portion control. I didn’t drink water at all before starting with Steve. My goal was to drink between 2-3L a day. I can honestly tell you that water has made a massive difference. You feel so much more refreshed and focused each day. I actually notice if I need water now as I start to get a sore head.
How was the signup process? Was it easy for you to understand and know how to get started?
The signup process was very easy. I contacted Steve on Messenger and he then arranged a phone call with me the next day. He discussed everything he would do and the benefits of being part of online PT.
What do you feel like you’ve learned up till now?
I am more aware of nutrition and the benefits of what good foods/water does to your body. Steve regularly posts technique videos of various exercises which helps if you are struggling with your technique. There is also a new nutrition course available which I still have to view, but the feedback from other online members have said that it is great!
Does the atmosphere and support in the group help?
The group is amazing. Great food ideas and everyone jumps in to support each other which helps when people are lacking motivation!
What are some of the things you’ve enjoyed up until now?
The personalised work outs and the new app is great. Steve makes individual workouts for each member to suit their fitness needs. In January I walked over 100km which was a massive achievement for me this year. I also completed a 30km walk which I would have never thought about doing. The buzz once I had done it was ace. Setting little challenges like these also make you more motivated.
What are some of the things you’ve disliked?
Nothing.
How do you feel you’ve progressed so far?
I am feeling a lot better in myself and can’t wait to see the changes in my body over the next few months!
Are you excited about your future progress?
I am really excited about my future progress and being able to be confident in my body. Roll on summer.
